PhilosophyAs human beings, our life satisfaction and emotional well-being are based on connection; connection with ourselves, with other people and with the universe. This is where we find meaning and purpose in our lives. Without a sense of connection and intimacy, we can begin to believe that we are different or that something is wrong with us. Our attempts to measure up or compensate can leave us lonely, depressed or anxious.
I believe that every person has the capacity to grow as an individual and to find meaningful connection and purpose. When we become disconnected from our true self, we lose sight of this central truth. I believe that you are the expert on yourself; my role as a therapist is to walk you through the process of discovering who you really are and how you can accomplish a more fulfilling life. I use various theories and methods in my Phoenix office to uncover the roots of problems and connect the dots between past events in your life and present behavior. I am primarily interpersonal in approach, and believe the therapeutic relationship is very important to healing.I have cognitive focus on changing the negative beliefs and self-defeating thoughts that can keep us stuck in the unsatisfying patterns of the past. I will work to help you discover and accept who you really are and to realize your true potential to find peace and satisfying relationships. I believe for each of us there is a path to our authentic self and a more joyful life. |
